گوپرو مکس توانایی تصویربرداری 360 درجه را داشته اما برای کسانی ساخته شده که می خواهند در حالت معمولی نیز فیلمبرداری کنند. با اين دوربين همانند دوربين گوپرو هم ميتوانيد فيلمبرداري كنيد و از ان لذت ببرين . این دوربین قابلیت های Max HyperSmooth، Max TimeWarp و Max SuperView داراست. در هر سه این قابلیت ها به کمک لنز 360 درجه لرزش ویدیوها تا حد زیادی گرفته می شود. گوپرو مکس در حالت 360 درجه توانایی ضبط تصویر با رزولوشن 5.6K 30 فریم بر ثانیه، رزولوشن 1440 با نرخ فریم 30 فریم بر ثانیه و در حالت «هیرو» توانایی تصویربرداری با رزولوشن 1080p با نرخ 60 فریم بر ثانیه را دارا خواهد بود.
